The bible has no standing on homosexuality, in the lives of the people in the bible homosexuality didn't even exist. So how could they possibly say it is a sin. Here is my view on what is sin or not. Love is never sin. If you have love, you would not sin. Some people like to argue that homosexuality isn't love but lust, and that lust is sin. But those people do not understand homosexuality, they would never feel or understand how a homosexual feels. Loving someone is not sin, and I don't believe lust to be sin either. The only thing I believe to be sin, is when what you are doing is hurting the person you are doing it to. Loving someone never hurts that someone.

The Bible's view on homosexuality is a reflection of a culture that has been dead for over 2,000 years. There is nothing to be gained by asking what the Bible's view is on homosexuality any more than asking what its view on slavery, theocracies, women as second class citizens, education, science, ethics, races, languages, democracy, authoritarianism, philosophy, truth and knowledge, medicine, diseases, mental illnesses and many more things which the Bible would give you very wrong answers.
Time to decide to live in the 21st century instead of the dark ages.

The bible is a book, an inanimate object, it cannot have a view.
Only differing interpretations of the bible can be expressed as a 'view'.
And there are differing interpretations, from the "Homosexuality is a mortal sin", to the interpretation that it's just fine.

The modern Bible is not as it was written. King James had it translated into English and directed that many things be added and that many things be left out for his own political reasons. The original authors of the Bible, the way they wrote it in their own language, do not condemn all homosexuality. Specifically they condemn ritualized homosexual acts being portrayed in temples.
I did not know until recently, but did you know that David (of Goliath fame) became the lover of his king's eldest son? He is mentioned as being like unto another son to the king. I apologize for not being able to offer a citation for this particular off topic comment.

Well if you care about what the current bible has to say about homosexuality (and many other things), then you're not a real Christian anyway; so why bother?

The Bible carries about as much weight with me as "The Cat in the Hat." Perhaps less.

What about all the other things the bible says, like not eating shellfish, and whom you should stone for what reasons?
If you're going to say that one part is true (or FALSE), then you have to say that the whole thing is true (or FALSE).
So you aren't wearing mixed fabrics, are you?
To some "christians" - who are anything but - who use the bible to back up their twisted belief, keep your bigotry and hatred to yourself. My life is just fine, thanks.

IT IS NOT A SIN. WE ARE RAISED TO BELIEVE A MAN AND A WOMAN SHOULD BE A COUPLE. THAT WAY WE CAN RE-PRODUCE AND PAY TAXES.
AND THE MUSIC GOES ROUND AND ROUND OHHH, OHHH, OH OH AND THE BEAT GOES ON.
