On this side of town, you can go to First Colony area in SugarLand, TX (voted the #3 best place to live), and in the TOWN Center there are many GOOD restaurants. We have Perry's Steakhouse ($$$)-EXCELLENT, the Cheesecake Factory-Excellent-moderately priced, Anici's...don't know yet, Carrabas Italian--good, Cafe Adobe-GOOD Mexican food and BJ's Brewery--pretty good, many like it alot more than I do.
There is P.F. Chang-GREAT FOOD
There are others, but I cannot think right now.
We also have Gringo's Mexican and Gringeaux's Seafood on HWY 59S, near Stafford (very nearby) Reasonable
Near there in what we call the "Fountains" there is Razoo's, Kim Son, but Texas Land and Cattle not so good. I took others and they said the same thing.
Downtown Houston and all over Houston, any of the Pappa's chains are great. We have Pappadeaux's for Good seafood, Cajum style, Pappa's-seafood, Pappasito's- Mexican- great, Pappa's BBQ- great....all reasonably/moderately priced
Christy's is good, On Westheimer Rd
Fogo deChao- Great, but expensive
Joe's Crabshack-reasonable
This is IT-Soul Food (near downtown)
Breakfast Klub (near downtown near Travis) only open for breakfast and lunch-on Saturdays just breakfast ...great food!
The Galleria Area- Maggiano's Italian-GREAT food and alot
Reasonably/moderately priced
Cabo's downtown is good
THere are many in that area.
Near there is Chuy's Mexican
Pesce's... I think that is how you spell it
Also off I10 and the Beltway, there is a restaurant named Brennar's. There is one that is Brennan's downtown, but not the same. BOTH are nice and a bit pricey, but good.
I love the one on I10 and Beltway.
Also off I10 and the Beltway, there is the Taste of Texas Steakhouse which also has a good salad bar.
There is Fuddruckers Hamburgers- all over Houston and Clearlake Area
Also around the Houston area, is HOUSTON'S Restaurant-GOOD food! There is one on Kirby Dr, (59)
There is also GOODE CO seafood and GOODE Co. BBQ on Kirby---well GOODE CO. Seafood is off Kirby on the side street. GOOD quaint restaurant.
There are others. If you find more on the internet, email me and I will do my best to tell you or give you a review.
I hope this helps.

The best restaurant in Houston is Nelore Churrascaria. This a new restaurant. It has not been open more than 1 year. It is a Brazilian style steakhouse. There is a set price and guys in Gaucho (South American Cowboys) outfits come by your table with different cuts of meat on skewers. You take as much as you want all you can eat. There is also a salad bar. Best place in town!!!

I know they are in a bunch of places, but my favorite place is the Cheesecake Factory. Not only is the food good, but after that they have all kinds of cheesecake to choose from! Also, it's in the Galleria mall which has almost any store in the world in it along with a Westin hotel.
PS. The crab cakes are awesome!

Teppanyaki (鉄板焼き, teppan'yaki?) is a type of Japanese cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook food. Benihana is one of the more famous restaurants that cooks in this fashion.

Fogo de Chao, on Westheimer - best food, incredible service - kind of pricey, but well worth it - just make sure you're good and hungry!
