do you think that the death of darrent williams has to do with the broncos lossing to the 49ers last sunday and being eliminated from the playoffs? i mean, crazy @ss fans probably got mad or a compulsive gambler who laid a big chunk of money on the broncos. any thoughts?

I agree with you. I think it was some compulsive gambler who lost around 500,000 to a million dollars and got mad that Darrent Williams didn't make that Frank Gore tackle.

Who knows? If it was a fan...then they are a seriously deluded fan....I mean come on there is always next season...I mean its just a game ......A really cool game but a game....and not the end of the world.....Whatever the reason it was senseless....Completely and utterly senseless....my speculation is whoever did it if they were part of the group that they were in argument over that the person got offended and instead of being a real man/men and moving on they choose to be a cold blooded scum sucking coward and took it out on darrent and his group....Or maybe they were just jealous of Darrent and his crowd........I mean people have killed for shoes.....Those kind of people just see the fancy cars etc and bank rolls and don't stop to think of the countless hours those guys have put in to get to where they are........While some thug is out making our world a worse place those football players are out busting their asses to be great.......Its senseless. and as a fan of Darrent Williams and the broncos....its extremely sad.....and i hope they get the bastards that did this and make them pay..

I live in Denver and it has hit all of us hard. What it has come down to, is he was at a Denver nuggets birthday party at a club downtown. There was some words exchanged between the party that Darrent was with. Him and Javon Walker decided to leave along with 14 other people in the limo. After they made it 2 blocks that when the car pulled up besides them and started shooting it up. They are not sure who started it yet, but they have ca mares all over down town streets along with inside of the club. So the cops will see who was involved with this and the truth will come out.

It sickens me that anyone would do anything like that to someone with such a promising future. I pray it was a random act of violence. The world is ugly and this just made it even worse. I have been a die hard Broncos fan for 30 years and have said my prayers for his family and the Denver Broncos Orginization. May he rest in peace. Such a horrible way to start the New year.

Too early to get the facts, but this is more likely the result of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is strange that most NFL players never get shot at, while some players can't seem to understand the danger. What a shame. He sounds like a fine young man.

Who sprays 14 bullets from a semi auto-matic into a limo with tinted windows?? A gang banger trying to prove something but now he's hiding from the cops?? Chickenshi*!!!

i dont think so because if it was planned then what about jevon wallker? i think that it was just some shootout that someone got a gun and decided to spray a limo for no reason. maybe thinking it was fun. so i dont think that it was a fan. fans no matter how crazy would go kill one of there own players. maybe the other team but not one of there own.

I doubt it. the person who shot him probably had no idea he was a football player. but if the broncos had made the playoffs, Williams probably wouldn't have been there in the first place, so............
