yes....please, or your grandchild will end up in the foster system. Not a good plce for a baby to be. Can u imagine?
If I was your daughter, I would want my mom to atleast try to care for my child, if I couldn't. Please do something, if you can!

When it comes to that if the father isn't in any position to get the custody then of course they always go to next of kin which means GRANDMA fight it because yes you are more entitled to then anyone else.

first to have a say is daddy of the baby. then the mothers mother, then the fathers mother. But theres no reason not to try IF the fathers found to be unfit.
