At 4:30PM on November 7, a United ramp worker first saw it near gate C17, close to sunset. All reports were that the object was dark grey and stood out in the overcast skies. They all said that it remained stationary then shot up in the air, leaving a hole in the cloud canopy which closed up after a couple minutes. A pilot also opened a windscreen in the cockpit to see the object. Richard Haines, formerly of NASA, did further research and determined that there were no weather balloons in the area. All the witnesses said they were certain it wasn't like any airplane or a helicopter they had ever seen. Witnesses spoke with the Chicago Tribune on conditions of anonymity.
The FAA didn't identify it as a result of clouds or weather, only have suggested it was most likely the result of such (which is ludicrous, since clouds don't accelerate upwards and leave a hole in the cloud canopy). The truth is that no one has an idea of what it was, however many workers, including a manager, reported it and it's at least something they aren't used to seeing. Considering they aren't laymen when it comes to things in the air, I think this may end up being one of the most credible reports with multiple witnesses ever.
The FAA initially denied they had information, however reversed their initial response after the Chicago Tribune filed a freedom of information act request because the FAA found information on internal review of air-traffic communication tapes. United initially denied the report, also. However, the witnesses, discussing under conditions of anonymity, indicated that United had asked them, after it happened, to write reports and draw pictures, and afterwards told them not to speak about what they saw. If it was something man-made that shouldn't be there, then it was negligence for both the FAA and airline not to investigate further.
Please keep in mind that UFO doesn't mean alien. It could be of man-made origin if it's not something weather related.

UFO means Unidentified Flyin Object... and they are spotted all the time! Normally, they are identified and then are no longer UFOs. There were reports of a large silver/grey circular object over Chicago that was sighted by some workers and other people at Ohare airport. The FAA identified this as a result of clouds and weather - so, prior to that identification you probably can say a UFO was spotted!

Why is it that every bit of fireworks is believed to be a UFO... you know what I'd like to know? Why aren't there any Astronomers reporting UFOs?! They're watching the sky as a full time job, and not even once did any one of them report a UFO. You know why? They know what they're looking at, as opposed to the common (and rather idiotic) man.

I don't know it must have been late at night and they thought they saw the UFO but they pictured it to be it in the dark

Another touch of the lunatic fringe. No, nothing was seen. There is once more no evidence so some people will believe it.
