Over 60% of the world's lakes are in Canada; this is because of the deranged drainage system that dominates the country. Canada has an extremely large number of lakes. The number of lakes larger than 3 square kilometres is estimated at close to 31,191 by the Atlas of Canada. There is no official estimate of the number of smaller lakes.

Canada is the country with the most amount of lakes. It is the largest source of freshwater for the entire world.
For the record..Idaho and Michigan are not countries. :/
And United States has huge areas of DESERT in it. How could it possibly be the country with the most amount of lakes? Please people, there are other countries outside of your own.
All of Europe is dotted with lakes so it is possible that Finland has a lot of lakes. However, Canada is too dotted with lakes and consider the size of Canada compared to Finland, it is only logical that Canada would have more than Finland. :)

Not sure for certain, but I would guess Canada... I draw maps for a living and I've never seen so many lakes than when I was drawing Canada!
