my friends baby is 3 1/2 months old, he has been slobbering and has had alot of signs that he is teething but i have never heard of a baby getting back teeth first. Is this normal?

My babies teeth came in a REALLY weird order, and she is 10 months old now and has 8 teeth now, so I would imagine anything is possible! She got her "fang" teeth, the ones next to the middle two front teeth first and looked like a vampire for awhile, but within a couple months, she had all 4 on top :)

It is possible and does happen. There are babies born with what is termed "milk teeth. " I would not be concerned unless the feeding pattern of the baby changes with a loss of fluid intake.

yeah, I have a friend whose baby did that. I don't think the order that the teeth come in is that important.
