It seems that I have lost the plug that came with the player and need a replacement one. Where are the best places to go for one either online or retail store?

Try looking for the manufacturers web site and see if you can order the cord there. Otherwise, find out what the specifications are as far as voltage and pin size and you could probably get one at a Radio Shack or Best Buy store.
