He's a renegade Timelord from the planet Gallifrey.It was destroyed in the Time Wars with the Daleks.

He comes from a planet called Galifrey. He is the only survivor (or so it would seem) but although the Time War killed all the Time Lords, there are still some remainnig. Like the doc's daughter (she is half a Time Lord but she still counts) and The Master had come back to. David Tennant comes from a planet called Sexyiest Man In The World. I'm going to meet him again soon lol!
