You will probably get your period this month. If I remember correctly with my two pregnancies it took about 8-10 weeks for my regular cycle to resume. If you are really concerned you should check with your gyn. because now is the time you are most vulnerable to get pregnant again if you are not using any protection. Also the breastfeeding may play a role, if you were not prone to heavy cycles before you got pregnant, the fact that you are breastfeeding may make your period lighter than normal. Meaning if it was light before it may be almost nonexistent now, so be sure to seek professional help if you are concerned. Congratulations!!

If your breastfeeding it could be anywhere from 6 to 9 months down the road. Maybe even 12!
Remember that you still run a risk of becoming pregnant regardless.

I also breastfed for the first year. I didn't get my first period until my daughter was 5 months. I was also on a low-dosage birth control pill, so that could have made me have my period sooner. I have heard some women who breastfeed don't have their periods for over a year.

Some women don't get a period the entire time they are breastfeeding. It varies from mom to mom. If your baby nurses frequently and nurses at night, you will probably take longer to become fertile again.
Personally.....
my period returned at 10 mos PP with my first, 9.5 mos PP with my second and about 16 mos PP with my third.

Yes, lacatation supresses ovulation, so periods take their sweet time to return. Since this varies widely from woman to woman, be aware that you can still be fertile during this time, as ovulation can return at any time...(and it preceeds the period)
A woman who bottle feeds usually get their periods back within 3 months.

I had a period when my six weeks were up, and I thought I was going to bleed to death, I literally called my doctor because I was bleeding so heavily. And if you are breast feeding it could be even longer, your child may even be a year old when your period starts again.
