Hi, I'm in the middle of making a short movie, well it's about a man and he looses the love of his life, and I need some extremely Sad, yet powerful Music to get the viewer feeling what the Man in the story feels, So...any ideas?

"To Where You Are" by Josh Groban

Who can say for certain Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me Your memory's so clear

Deep in the stillness I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration, Can it be

That you are my Forever love
And you are watching over me From up above

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile To know you're there
A breath away's not far To where you are

Are you gently sleeping Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing All power can't be seen

As my heart holds you Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me Everyday

'Cause you are my Forever love
Watching me From up above

And I believe That angels breathe
And that love will live on And never leave

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

I know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

Brilliant song!

some Alex Parks songs like Mad World, Imagine and Stones and Feathers, also No Tears for The Medicine Man from Spirit Dancer is rather sad in places. Oh and u have got to listen to the music in Memoirs of a Geisha while ur at it, the bit where Sayuri is on the cliff (but she doesn't jump off). Plus if u ever wanted to do something where a girl has been dumped cause she cheated on him, u could try the beginning of Kathryn Howard's Fate by Blackmore's Night.

I agree with the answer above Exit music for a film by Radiohead. A really powerful piece of sad music. Also try Blood on the Motorway by DJ Shadow or Grazed Knees by Snow Patrol or Strange and Beautiful or Can't get you out of my mind both by Aqualung

Vienna by the Fray
Landslide by Dixie Chicks or Stevie Nicks
But i usually like music with no words better for the sad parts, i just can't think of any songs right now.
Good luck with your movie!!

Not my favorite artist by any means but maybe trry "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson. Beautiful song about all thats wrong in the world (including poverty) and how each person in the world could help change things if they started with the man in the mirror (themselves0 song is very powerful and almost makes me cry when i hear it. Look up the lyrics I know this could be exactly what your looking for and good luck

Listen to "Disintegration" by the Cure. There's a song on it that starts out with a thunderstorm in the background and the first lyric is "Kiss me goodbye." I think it's song 9 or 10. It's beautiful.
