I see these three crosses as i travel down interstate 79 & 77 and other highways. I think they are there to protest some thing but i don't know what. they are made of wood like telephone poles. there is one big yellow cross with two smaller white crosses on each side of the yellow cross. I would like to know what these crosses stand for.

the gold one in the middle symoblizes jesus and the other ones on the side symoblize the other theives that were crucificed at the same time. People put them out to share their faith.

First, my understanding of the Bible as a Christian Believer is different now than when i was atheist, because the Holy Spirit gives life to the word you are reading, and you understand better. So even if an atheist would know more info (which in the first place is not a valid theory), the believer understands the Word eith the help of the Holy Spirit, called The Teacher (look it up,if you are an atheist you should know where the verse is, right?) Second, atheists dont base their atheism on intellectual capacity or knowledge, they base it on exactly the opposite, lack of openmindedness, lack of faith, lack of humility,..

I've seen those too--going South through Virginia or Tennessee, I think. I assumed they were just representations of the cross Jesus was crucified on (the larger center one) and the two that held the thieves on either side of him in Biblical lore. I looked it up, and here's what I found

the big yellow one represents Jesus Christ and the two smaller white ones represent the two thieves that were crucified beside him. This is there to remind everyone.
