No.

A magazine (I think it was Cosmo) had an article a few years ago about the types of pills and how often you take them to equate the morning after pill.

For me (Ortho Novuum) it was two now and two 12 hours later, I think.

To be safe, call your doctor and ask her.

DAMN, people, be nice! Everyone makes mistakes! How do you know she wasn't taking antibiotics, or something?!

It depends what brand you are using. The link below has a list of 24 common birth control pills and the dosage and timing you would need to use them as EC. Using a nonlisted pill is kind of playing russian roulette with your safety... the ones on here have been studied for effectiveness. You can also search the website to find out where to purchase actual EC in your neighborhood.

Nope. The dose of hormones in the morning after pill is significantly different to the amount contained in standard birth control pills.

If you are on low dose pills, then you may not get enough to stop fertilisation, or if you are on higher dose, then you may overdose by taking three. Go see your pharmacist or doctor. And use condoms next time!

Maybe. Here are the instructions by brand how to use birth control pills for emergency contraception: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/birth-control-pregnancy/emergency-contraception/procedure-4366.htm
The people that are telling you not to do it are not aware that the morning after pill is a strong version of bc pills.

Don't do that. Just go buy the emergency contraceptive pill at like Wal-Mart or something. It's been available over the counter since November.

Do not take 3 pills. It would probably make you feel sick but would not work as the morning after pill.

are you freaking serious? no it isn't the same. your birth control is supposed to be taken everyday once a day unless you miss one and then you can take 2 the next day at regular time, but other than that, just taking birth control all at once isn't going to keep you from getting pregnant more easily.

NOOOO, it'll seriously mess up your hormonal balance !!!! It won't have any effect on you as a morning after pill. Just go see a doctor and get the right information....
