The UAE is full of single men working alone, and the number of single gals is not matching.

The question is, where are all those single guys going to drop their loads ?!....

also some people think that it's safer this way, because otherwise rape will spread.

one other thing is that it's safer for young gals, this will give the guys somewhere easier to go for instead of hitting on young vulnerable school gals.

And note that most of the customers are non-muslims anyways. The uae has a very very diverse residents ... only 30% are arabs and barely 60% are muslims ...

PLUS ... it means alot of money flow from all over the uae to dubai ... from the whole gulf too ... thay want to encourage entertainment in every aspect.

PS, the prostitutes are all from Russia and it;s neighbors or china . not arabs ..

I saw some when I visited Sharm in Egypt. It seems that they are there in high tourist, resort like areas. In Cairo though, I wouldn't have been caught dead showing my bare naked arms. On edit, I would like to add that many of them were of Russian descent according to the diplomats I was with.

Regarding ports...I work in on of the affected ones, and regardless of what people would have thought, it wouldn't have been bad at all. It's almost a GOOD think for the UAE that many don't realize what excellent allies they have been to non terrorists.

I read about that recently...they put ads in Russian newspapers and say its a housekeeping job and when the girl shows up they put her on transport and take her passport and then is forced into prostitution...it's a combination of Russian Mafia and Muslim brothel keepers...once the girl ends up pregnant, they ship her back and just drop her off with no money, no nothing...they have some people that are opening boarding rooms to take some of these girls in, or they'd just die on the streets in the winter.

it is the oldest profetion and although most religions condemn it men are always willing to pay for it. banning it can not stop it. but is it better than free sex that is the qurestion I think men respect prostitutes more than slappers who sleep with any one.

I think a Muslim is probably the best person to ask this question, but from my own understanding, Muslims have a different view on sexual acts than Christians do. When I was vacationing in Egypt for example, I read in Lonely Planet that Muslims believe that for any kind of sinful sexual act, only the person on the receiving end is the sinner. So, Muslims might very well engage in homosexual relations with westerners, or have sex with foreign prostitutes. Since they are the ones imposing their power over others, the sex does not hurt their chances of entering paradise. The Judeo-Christian view focuses more on the holiness of the human body, since Man was made in God's image. Sins which desecrate the human body are a serious affront to God under this view, so Christians look more sternly on any kind of fornication.

The lure of money overshadows the fear of punishment. When women have no other way to feed themselves or their children they will do what they have to do to eat, even if it's illegal. There will always be people willing to pay for sex. The law does not prevent a specific vice, it simply drives it underground making it more profitable for those willing to chance the consequences.

Wheter is allowed or not doesn't mean it won't exist. As long as there's someone willing to pay for those "services" there always be someone to sell them, legal, illegal, allowed or not.

They are sponsored by the same people who sponsor prostitutes in the U.S where it's also illegal, the men who are sleeping with them.
