This is the demographic that no one likes to discuss. You're trying to be a productive citizen, but the government won't help you.
I'm not recommending that you do this, but the shame of the system is that, if you simply stopped working, you'd have a home of your own and all of the luxuries that go with it.
Do the right thing. Keep working and set a good example for your child. Stay in your parent's home until you make enough to move out. Unless your parents are horrible people or forcing you to move out, stay as long as you can. Do you even realize how much they help you with your child? It's really hard on your own.

Why should any tax payer dollars help you live an irresponsible life style? You have adequate housing at your parents. Maybe you need to rethink your spending habits! Go to school, get an education, search for a better paying job, and quit looking for others to pay your way!

don't depend on public assistance to move out on your own. Get a better paying job. Teach your child by example that you can acheive things on your own if you try in life.
Living on public assistance is not living on your own anyway.

Stop having kids with loser men!
Stop burdening society with the cost of your personal decision to have kids and be a single mom.
You should have waited until you knew you had the income and means to live on your own BEFORE you chose to get pregnant - and remember - getting pregnant does not happen by accident since birth control is not 100% reliable.
Best of luck to you (and your kid[s]).

Make more money or get a husband. Meanwhile, enjoy where you are. It is very kind of your parents to help you. Maybe you could go to school while living with your parents.

Get a better, high-paying job.
Get more child support.
Roommate with someone else to share housing costs.
Do not depend on welfare to be on your own, because if you are on welfare, you are NOT on your own.
