Depends on your threshold of pain. If you're a total wuss and you cry from a paper cut, then you might not like getting tested for STDs. But the vast majority of people don't have a problem with testing.

Chlamydia and gonorrhea are urine tests (peeing into a cup doesn't hurt), but an extra swab during your Pap can also be used to detect the infection. Some women find the swab a little uncomfortable, but I think it just feels weird, not painful.

The Pap smear is NOT a STD test. It detects precancerous growths in the cervix which are often caused by HPV, but a Pap cannot actually locate infections. You have to ask specifically for STD screening.

Syphilis and herpes are blood tests. If you don't like needles, then this might be a tough one for you.

HIV can be tested with blood or a mouth swab.

Depends on how you feel about a needle. You would need a blood test or a pap smear. The pap is uncomfortable but shouldn't hurt. If you are having sex, you should be having a pap smear yearly.
