I don't think they advertised his execution at all but you can be sure that the news media all over the world will replay it many many times. My sister in law is Iraqi, having left the country 15 years ago, and she told me what it was like for everyone to live under the fear of Saddam and then multiply that for women. He was a monster and he met the fate of a monster. There will be new monsters to take his place especially it seems in the chaotic, brutal world of the Middle East. I know many Arabs and they are great, intelligent folks but I must admit it seems that most have left Iraq and Iran for a better place to live.

Why. If this is a JUST war to take down a tyrant shouldn't we know when he'll be executed?

Hell, in Texas they know B4 the execution is going to take place so why not?

Get over it. NO one cried foul when they splashed the dead faces of his sons all over the TV or when they splash the mangled bodies of war torn Iraqis all over the place.

F U C K saddam!!!!!

i dont agree with what he did or anything, he was totally wrong, but yeah, i feel like they advertised it a little to much. yesterday, my local newspaper had a picture of him with the rope around his neck on the front of the paper, which by the way, they are not allowed to do. they should not have killed him publicly, even though he really did deserve it.

ADVERTISED? i didn't see any commercials or anything, if you are referring to the stories on the NEWS; what SHOULD they have done? not covered it, it was a huge news story, would you prefer we be kept in the dark about current events like they do in Cuba or in other dictatorial countries?

Not yet. I was afraid that the media would make a BIG deal out of it, but so far they have been behaving themselves.
