Some of these answers are a bit hysterical -- you're not supposed to 'diet' per se, but you can, well, not over-eat.
But, Weight Watchers? Apparently not, at least in Canada.
"Weight Watchers prohibits participation in its weight loss plan for children under the age of 10, those individuals with an active medical diagnosis of bulimia nervosa, those whose weight is less than 5 pounds above the minimum weight of the Weight Watchers Weight Ranges, and during pregnancy."
http://www.weightwatchers.ca/about/his/health.aspx
But:
"Controversially, a few places like Weight Watchers have, in the past, offered special food plans during pregnancy that are sometimes called 'diets'. These may not be true diets, however, just healthy eating plans (so they argue), but extreme care should be taken when considering one of these."

i do not think so because i do not see how you could be on that plan and get the amount of calories needed to support a pregnancy if you are concerned just be strick with yourself and go on weight watchers after the baby comes you need i think 3000 calories a day not sure but i think that is what the doctor said anyway you can still work out to stay healthy do not worry you can lose the weight after baby comes congrats!!

Dieting is not recommended no matter your weight during pregnancy. I am overweight myself, 270 lbs. to be exact and 22 weeks pregnant with my third baby. My Dr.'s have told me not to diet. However, If you eat healthy meals and exercise and get the recommended calorie intake and you lose a few pounds here and there, it's fine. Because the baby and you are getting what is needed. My Dr. told me after I lost weight with my nausea and vomiting that it was fine as long as the baby was growing normally. A healthy diet and low impact (such as swimming or walking) exercise is a must for any woman, as long as your Dr. approves in pregnancy. Always consult your Dr. when it comes to your and your baby's health.

You can start losing weight steadily and quickly by cutting your calorie intake down by around 350-500 a day and drink plenty of water, eat healthily. Also breaking down your meals into multiple snacks can help speed up the metabolism meaning you will burn calories quicker and digest food quicker. By cutting down portions and being healthy you could loose a couple of pounds within a fortnight. Which isn't amazing but you are more likely to keep it off and get used to eating less meaning you can carry on your weight loss to further lengths.

This is a question for your doctor. None of us know your particular situation. Alot depends on any health issues that you may have, your weight, etc. You need a well balanced diet while pregnant but do not need to be on a "diet" for the purpose of losing weight. This is a question that needs to be directed at your doctor because he knows your medical history and your particular needs.

No! You should not be on any kind of diet while pregnant. You need to eat the proper portions of each of the recommended foods/vegies/fruits everyday. Doesn't matter if it's 1 point or 5!
