You have a lot of bones in your hand (carpal bones and metacarpal bones) and one or more of those bones could be broken. There is no way to tell without an xray.
I suggest you see an orthopedic surgeon, or go to an ER to have it x-rayed. Fractures that don't heal properly can cause life-long pain and problems.
How does a hand break? If enough stress is put on a bone, it will fracture. It can be done in many different ways, and falling on an outstretched hand is a classic.
Now, get going and have it seen to.

you could bypass on the holiday, merely no longer ski. the opportunities of rebreaking the arm and doing plenty extra injury is merely too great. do you understand what number of human beings they carry off the mountain in any given day with broken bones? Even expert skiers smash bones. Even the toddler slopes are risky for you. Ask your rfile and watch him get purple and blow steam. till you rejoice with discomfort and maybe dropping an arm, stay off the slopes - that are no longer slopes via any definition! i understand you badly want to bypass, and have probable paid for the holiday. yet it is the time while adulthood kicks in and uncomplicated experience over rides needs. have relaxing on the inn and along with your human beings at night, make new pals throughout the day whilst they ski - I assure that there'll be a great number of folk no longer snowboarding. choose you success!

You need to get an x-ray to determine if it's broken. There's no other way to know for sure! I just broke my arm a few months ago, so I know about the pain. You need to get it set correctly or it won't heal properly. Call to make an appointment right now! ... Or go into an Urgent Care facility or the ER.

i was watching you tube and this man was skate boarding and somehow he broke his hand and BOY it was NASTY!!! you could see his bone out of place!! he had to go straight to the er to set it back in place!!! i aint no professional but maybe u should get it checked out....dont take my word for it!!

you might wanna go to your local urgent care and get it checked out. If it is broken and you didn't do anything about it, it could heal wrong. better to err on the side of caution and just get it checked out. Get better!

your hand has so many little bones and ligaments that could have been broken, fractured or pulled, i recommend you see a doctor because something is obviously wrong.
