Explain to me why she's funny. I'll be open minded.
I have sat through a couple of whole episodes of her show and all I see is a trained actress (not best suited to comedy) auditioning for parts better than the crap she's doing now.

too much swearing, not enough actual funny stuff. Constantly saying f*ck isn't really very funny.

I am a really big fan, but like all sketch shows there are some characters that just dont do it. Lauren the BOVERED is funny and pretty true, the nan the situations are true but the foul mouth is just an added comedy feature, all though I do fear that I am looking at myself in a few years time, I am the foul mouthed mummy!!!!!!!! Bernie the dirty nurse is hilarious, I nearly wet my self. Some characters from the first 2 series were better than the new ones. I didnt get the girl who was with a friend, said she was just going to get a bag of crisps and then when she came back her freind had been killed by some stupid thing, dont no didnt get it. I suppose with some stuff you either like it or you dont, but I think she is very clever to be all the different characters that she is and keep a straight face!!!!! Try watching it once more!

I am a fan but do see where you're coming from, its like all sketch shows - some characters will always appeal more than others. I love 'nan' but so do a lot of Londoners, we all have one in our family! Watched you on C4 last night tho' - the funniest film ever made and, by the way, what have the romans ever done for you?

Well 1st off she is a trained actress.did you not see her in the Christmas Dr. Who special? She has a film - which i can't remeber the title of - coming out very soon.
For sure she's funny.but it's like any comedy - it's subjective. What you like someone else may hate.Personally i think she's fantastic. My fave characters are Nan, Lauren, the secretary & the new one, the Geordie fundraiser .

Brain you have been a very naughty boy!
Anyway I liked Tate in Doctor Who, but her show, I find not so funny.
Some of her sketches I dont mind, but most of them I hate.
You might like to know she used to appear in a show alongside Simon Pegg (tedious link also a star of doctor who) Most famously known for a tv series called spaced, and for a litle known film called..Shaun Of The Dead.

I'm a fan, but i could give or take most of the programme. Lauren is the best character and for me the first series was the best.

All sketch shows have the problem of the same characters getting boring. The trouble is her's are all done by other people.
