Dave Grohl cause he is an all round musician and the nice of the to personality wise!!
Don't get em wrong I love Lars and Metallica but you can beat the Foo Fighters and Nirvana

Both are legends. However Lars is a bit lazy. His drumming has never been that fast. Dave Grohl has great technical ability.

Although Lars is a much more established drummer. I like Dave Grohl's style a lot more.

They are a bit different in terms of stylistic background, i prefer Grohl but despise his work over the last 6 years. I also despise Lars on the black album. I recommend Tim Sharp from a band called Ten to Never - he destroys them both.

Lars Ulrich is a mediocre drummer at best. You need to understand a little more about rythmn, try listening to keith moon, some nice jazz records, charlie watts is great too.
It isn't all about hitting the things as hard and as fast as you can
