theres a new teacher at my kid's school. i do not like her. a few years ago she dated my cousin and made racial comments towards me behind my back. it got around to me. she runs every time i try to confront her. what can i do to get her fired or at least ensure her racist a** isn't teaching my kids. do i tell the principle about her or try to get other parents to help me get her fired? This is her first year teaching.

1. You do nothing. The allegation (that this woman made racist statements about you a few years ago) has no bearing on her present contract of employment. Stop thinking about trying to mount a witch hunt against her - it will backfire on you, as it rightly should.

2. If you have concerns, then be vigilant. Any improper conduct or statements made by her, either whilst engaged in her employment duties, or ones that are subject to criminal or civil court action (as a result of conduct or statements made outside of work time) should be reported to the school principal. If, consequently, you feel that the principal has failed to take appropriate action, you could then refer the matter to the school board.
