Hamsters sleep an awful lot, unless you have an exercise wheel , how long have you had him for?
To take the worry out , you may have to take him to the vet.
When was his last shot?
Has he been over eating, he may also just be tired, considering when the last time you checked on him was.
Do yourself a fqavour and take him to the vet to be on the safe side.

Hamsters are sound sleepers. It takes some effort even to wake them up in the daytime. Probably the hamster is fine.

It could be too cold. Rap it in a blanky, in a warm room, with no drafts. Rub it`s little body.

He may be sleeping.
Is he unresponsive? If so, get him to a vet --- he may be in shock, poisoned, etc ...
