The site you mentioned (freeipodguide.com) sounds like a scam.
PLEASE stay away from sites like this, and NEVER give your credit card out to sites like this or any of the LINKS from that site.
Your best bet for an i-pod Nano is probably the Apple Store -- that way there if something happens, you can return it also I believe they are $0.99 cheaper there ($199 vs $199.99).
And forget about discounts -- even if a retail store has a sale, these NEVER go on sale and are usually excluded from percent off coupons.

There is no good reason at all of getting an iPod (unless your daughter has a fetish for the overpriced items). There are many better mp3 players around, most of them are better quality and offer better value for money. BUT THEY ARE NOT THAT POPULAR!
I will recommend you buying her Sandisk Sansa mp3 player. It has the similar size as the iPod nano (and the Sansa's screen is even bigger!), and it is much better. The baterry works 8 hours longer than the one in the iPod nano, and it's replaceable. You can make voice recordings.
You can buy a 2GB version for as little as 77.90 quid, if you'll follow the link below:
