I couldn't afford giving so much. Especially when you start getting in to the lords a leaping and the maids a milking.

Save it all for a big final haul.

with the price of gold, who can afford even one ring, much less five?
and that #$%^#&%# partrige keeps flying out of the pear tree....

but seriously, my grandmother used to do that for us kids. twelve little individually wrapped presents, nothing fancy, stocking-stuffer-ish kind of items: sidewalk chalk, jacks and a ball, a hot wheel car, etc.

I want to do that for my kid next year, from "the spirit of Grandma Alice". she was a sweet woman, wished she'd lived to meet my kid.

yes, we dont do something each day we just celebrate the 12th day with dinner, prayer, and gifts of food
