Would an Alligator or a Beaver be bettar for swimming about in the moat and guarding the castle?

Cat's pretty sure alligators got bigger teefses. Can you cross-breed them? That'd be a alliver or a beavigator...wouldn't that be cool?!

Well, I'd say an alligator; a beaver would build dams and muck up the moat and also create inadvertent bridges across it. You want to keep people on the far side of the moat, right? The gators would just eat 'em!

I'm going to have to go with the Beaver. The beaver will be underestimated. Everyone will think....oh, what a cute little beaver...then they'll want to pet the beaver.....and you really shouldn't pet beavers without permission. You know what might happen, don't you? That mean ole beaver will get you just like the maniacal bunny from Monty Python's Holy Grail! I would go with a legion of beavers! Best thing to protect your castle.....

An alligator i mean a beaver can't guard a castle but they are really good swimmers.

I would get the alligator. The beaver would build dams etc. making the moat pretty ineffectual.
