Why do people assume they know you just becasue you post a certain question. It's funny, they never met you before, they don't know you or know where you live. I just posted a question about why people hide behind there status. So then I get a response from somebody and they " ASSume " they freakin' know me. Like how does one know I'm not a lawyer , teacher or a college student ?

Do people assume right off the bat these days, even if they don't even know you. Well, what can I say about it, some are just ignorant. I guess ? Do you agree that people need to remind themselves they are talking to strangers not someone they know?

Alex I don't agree with you, we are strangers lets keep it at that. I don't know you and you don't know me, for me to assume would be ignorant. Some people want to assume, either based stereotypes not because they know what they are saying.

So if I answer a question all stereotypes put to the side, I'll answer based on the question not based on stereotypes. That's why I said rune amok or whatever didn't know me. Just because I addressed Bill Gates and Sean Combs, does it mean I'm a drop out? NO, it does not. That's why you can't assume, what so ever ! That's like saying all Asians know how to fight, give me a break...

Well Kim it seems to me you fail to undertand my frusrtation. So, my advice to you is don't ASSume anything about anyone. I never said Americans were idots, that was your ASSumption it was not mine. Well, you exemplify my question you are ASSuming once again. So, hopefully I've made my point!

Have a nice life, you make no sense what so ever. I was targeting one indevidual, not a whole country KIM. You are very slow, oops am I assuming? Ya I am, is it true, you answer that for yourself...Freedom of speech? Ya ok, you can talk all you want just make some sense ok? No, give me a break KIM.

They watch too much TV and assume that the people in this forum are like the ones on television (whom they don't know either, but think they do).

Why are you posting the question twice then? You have to realize who you are talking to here. The majority of us are American's I would say. We phrase things differently than other Countries, the way we respond to questions may or may not be exactally what you want to hear. It's called "Freedom of Speech" we are not ignorant by any means, most of us are not doctors, lawyers or Indian Chiefs.

Give us a break!

yes yes yes, but after all, lets not forget that these are also people that re turning to comple strangers with personal problems. Therefore they need answers and advice. Getting upset that they ASSumed, would be hypocritical in a sense? no?

Don't take it personally but with few exceptions, you're all just text on a screen to me. For all I know, half the teenaged girls posting on here are really a bunch of pervy 60 year old men.

Aw relax! It's best when asking questions to give as much detail as possible so that misconceptions don't occur. And even when you do, they still happen. Don't worry about it. Just rephrase the question.
