OMG is the slang or short term for saying "Oh my God!" or if you perfer it......"Oh my gosh!".......or for those long word people "Oh my goodness!" If you are like close friends and are still the college-best-buds kind...then i would say it is "Oh my God!".......... Unless you're all gronw upish...then it would be "Oh my goodness!" but still, you wouldn't say OMG if your a mature adult.

well, you have plenty of correct answers - Oh My - plus many words to chose for the 'G' word. Since it is generally used as an exclamation of surprise, you have to understand it in the context of how it is said, voice, body language, and what the person is responding to.
