I think most of the people answering this question are missing the fact that the ASKER does not identify as White.
Yes, he is a racist, but he is asking this question because he HATES white people (check out his other questions about who owns America and the names he calls European Americans). He is a race baiter.
Do not confuse him as a white person. Do not blame white people for what he says. I actually don't think he has a problem with BET as much as white people.
To the ASKER, there's no need for a special channel even when the minority is close to half the population. the market will dictate. BET is around because the target demographic is only ten percent of the population. There are also channels that focus on Russian, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, British, etc minorities. There are channels that focus on fishing and golf.
Lighten up, dude. Do something better with your life than race baiting and spewing hatred.

Even if ALL Latin America migrates to the US, the whites would be 45% of the population, because of the white Latin Americans. That's not such a big deal, cause California and Texas already have close percentages, if I'm not wrong. Now in case only non-white Latin American migrates, what's more probable, whites will be 1/3. But in that case, Latin America will be all-white, what would you do? Would you migrate to Latin America?

I applaud you for being brave enough to ask this question. Now if you and the other person who thinks that BET is racist will only take the time to LOOK at BET you will find that it is about as diverse a station as you can get. Do not just focus on the rap, although you have seen plenty of Caucasian rappers, (as long as they lasted that is) on BET. There is also BET Jazz, BET Gospel. BET is now multicultural. I know that is a lot for small minded people to absorb, but that is just the way it is. BTW the color these days on BET is green, you see many companies realize that African-Americans have lots of green, you see they are paying top dollar for advertising privliges. However please know that taken for granted, we pull our green FAST! Just ask that company...you know...that champayne...damn what was the name! BET racist? Yeah right.

We do have White Entertainment, it's called NBC, ABC, CBS. Most major TV networks cater to the holy grail of advertising White Males between the ages of 18-45. I don't think BET is racisit, if the major networks fail to create programs that appeal to minorities than what is wrong with filling the void. It is called capitolisim.

Nope...you haven't been enslaved...yet or any of the other tortures that African Americans had to go through. Plus you have every other channel there is...minus a couple Latin stations. Stop whining...you don't need W.E.T. So no matter how much of a minority you all become...you won't be getting another one of your own stations! Geez you all are never satisfied.

basically all the country singer channels are wet. And there is a all asian channel that has news and stuff so don't act like you don't have anything.

BET is not racist and is owned and operated by Viacom(WHITE PEOPLE) the same company that owns CBS, VH1, MTV, Nick, and etc. And Asians have plenty of channels to themselves. And if white people want their own channel so bad take it up with Viacom!

Maybe...Why is everyone so upset that black people have BET. No one is saying white people can't watch it. And if you're so upset then go and set up your own WET channel. Guess what....we won't care!!!! You won't hear me complaining about it. It's just called BET because it plays Black Music. Who else is going to play it? Certainly not MTV or VH1. Sure they play the sugarcoated pop black music.....but not the rap or the hip hop that most black people listen to

Ummm... I think we white folks already have our own networks... ABC, NBC, CBS, Lifetime, MSNBC, FOX News, VH1.... That there are two networks dedicated to black culture is entirely allowable. There's a couple for men, a few for women, and a collection of them for other cultural groups- Asians (like AZN), (Asian) Indians, Latinos, etc. Stop complaining. It makes the rest of us look bad!
