I've got decent-to-high-end equipment, not the absolute best pro quality but pretty good. When I step on the ice, I'm wearing about a thousand dollars of gear, not including sticks for about $140 each, a $200 mouthguard, and whatever jersey I happen to be wearing (anywhere between $20 and $400). It is not a cheap hobby.
If you want beginner gear, you can probably get outfitted for more like $500, especially if you can find some gear used. And no need to buy the expensive sticks until you really find a blade curve you like.
Also, junior (kid's) gear is less expensive. I know a lot of women who wear junior gear to save money, but unfortunately I'm not small enough.

the 1st theory that got here to my concepts upon analyzing this submit became a million. WHY is college training fee is usa ridiculously high priced? WHY do colleges want a lot money? a school isn't a business enterprise like Apple or Microsoft. My sister will graduate from her 4 years of faculty quickly and the finished coast of training pee paid throughout those 4 years....is OMG too a lot. the quantity is very almost as a lot because of the fact the U.S. nationwide debt. 2. do colleges extremely want an excellent variety of money? 3. usa is presently dealing with an economic disaster; that is expected to be between the worst ever in U.S. historic previous. So unemployment is a becoming concern, the economic device is getting spoiled and there are extra harmless voters suffering under the poverty line. and that i'm not against the government however the federal government would not look sorting it out properly. i don't be attentive to that a lot with regards to the ecnonomy, so I found out from my sister (she's a company / economics substantial) and that i will tell that the country, the economic device etc are all dealing with a disaster. Soo....i don't be attentive to yet until the government delivers to love help the undesirable pay for faculty or something I strongly propose that faculties do not improve training expenditures. in any different case...usa will face a good worse academic disaster. Does the stuff I typed make experience? wish it does. And......the forged information is that the high priced training fee paid to an excellent college became extremely properly worth it because of the fact that my sister have been given an excellent interest 2 weeks until now commencement.

you can always find slightly used equipment at a nice price. You would save between 40 to 70%. The only new items to buy is the sticks and the jockstrap,evidently...;-)
