And don't tell me that its because the US is only country with many different ethnic backgrounds.
Africans, Amerindians, Europeans and Asians have ALL assimilated in Latin America.

Because ALL races will continue to use their race as an excuse. As long as people do that, they create animosity and further contribute to race division.

The race that has contributed less to America, is the one who isn't ambitious!
The race who has the most in prison, is the race that is the most violent
The race that has the most on welfare, is the race that figures the world owes them a living!

Legacy racism will take generations to resolve. Does America have better race relations today than it did in 1964? Of course it does. Whereas blatant discrimination is illegal in many respect; latent racism still abides. Does this mean that we believe that this is the best we can be when we all strive to do better for ourselves and our families? Of course not, we know that we have come a long way since the 'colored only' and 'no colored' signs. However, we also recognize that we have a long ways to go with regards to equal opportunity for all citizens regardless of color. I look at my generation (baby boomers) and we still retain many racist legacies; however, I see my children and I see the US becoming a color blind society and moving towards a merit based society while striving for equal opportunity for all citizens. Unfortunately, equal opportunity is difficult to attain when we have great disparities regarding the funding of equality in education quality. Fight the good fight, remove racism, sexism, from your hearts and your lives and pass it on to those whom come after us.

I think it has something to do with the legacy of slavery.
We still have some old politicians from those times. They still fly the confederate flag. The KKK is still there. Only 45 years or so since segregated bathrooms and restaurants.

Most of my asian friends want to be friends with blacks, but they act like wild monkeys. Back in China, blacks would have gotten banned from the country for pulling the kind of stuff they pull in America.
