accidentally stood on a keyboard and the screen is now displaying sideways, how can I rectify this. Laptop is Dell Inspiron 1300 with a cordless Logitech keyboard with numerous hotkeys

right click on the desktop, go to properties, then settings, click advanced, and youll get various tabs on the top, the far right should be for your graphics card and it should have various options, such as rotating the screen, it should be in there somewhere.

Right click the desktop and select properties. From the next windows click the settings tab....on the setting tab drag the bar that says screen resolution until it says 1024X768 and see if that fixes the issue. You might have accidentally changed your screen resolution. 1024X768 should get you back to normal but you might have to play with it and try different resolutions until you get the one you had.
