How can someone own £50000 and have less knowledge in maths then a 10 year old child?

A person like that can not possibly hold a proper job...it would be to risky to employ someone who can not count.
Probably a wife of someone rich or someone who inherited the money....but I dont think they manage to keep the money...they will spend everything on shopping.
Yes, it is amazing that people know how to read and write
but dont know how to multiply and divide - what even 8 year olds know at primary school.
Multiplication: 4x5 = 20
Division: 20:5 = 4
How many months has a year? 12
What is Per-Cent? Per-One-Hundred.
1% = 1 of 100. 1: 100 = 0.01
So ridiculous. People should not be allowed to own money if they dont know how to add 1 and 1.

I am dreadful at maths but know how to count and how to put money in my savings account - you don't need a university degree to be able to understand money - you spend it and have none, you save it and have money in the bank. Simple.
