Most people using Yahoo are too young to know anything about President Ford. He knowingly gave any chance of winning a second term when he pardoned Nixon so the US could get back on track as a nation. I also reduced inflation by 50% by using the veto power to cut government spending. He showed strond leadership in his short term. He work very well with congress.
Ford expressed his support for the current War on Terror though he stated he would have taken out Saddam because he was an evil person committing mass murder, not for the WMD issue.

Ford said in a 2002 interview that there was no reason to go into Iraq...9 of the 11 hijackers were Saudi...whay didn't we bomb them..I believe Ford would have gone after Osama..not a country that had NOTHING to do with 9-11...their crime was having our oil under their sand.

He would have listen to Colon Powell and not gone into Iraq. The man was wise enough to listen to the people around him with the exception of Richard Nixon's Pardon.

WHAT DID HE ACCOMPLISH IN THE 2 YEARS PLUS A COUPLE OF MONTHS AS PRESIDENT ? HE DID NOTHING DRAMATIC DURING HIS TENURE AS PRESIDENT. WHY IS EVERYONE TAUTING THIS GUY LIKE THE BEST THING SINCE SLICE BREAD ?
