They reelly need to stay there, cuz they are guarding the castle. How can Dragon keep them from escaping without putting them on leeshes?

Make a deeper moat and throw some corndogs in every so often. They like corndogs!

What can you offer the alligators?
Personally, I would keep them well fed and as happy as possible, and offer professional development in the area of castle protection. What kind of dental package do you offer? Never underestimate the power of a good benefits package. You want your alligators so happy that they need not wander to another's moat.
Whatever you do, DO NOT starve them. You may be the boss... but will also make a satisfying lunch for an unhappy alligator.

They have to have some kind of land to lay on, so let them lay on land around the castle walls, but put a low fence on the opposite side of the moat.

Make the water level of the moat ten feet lower than ground level and make sure the walls of the moat are vertical. Alligators would be unable to climb out.

Dragon should try to those invisible fence thingies. She should get cool looking collars for her alligators (ones with spikes would be good) and those collars will be hooked up to the invisible fence thingie. Everytime your alligators try to leave the invisible fence thingie, they will get a shock.......so they won't want to leave the moat, and they will be even crankier and will do a better job protecting the castle....

Put a fence around the moat! Cat is sure that would werk, these guys got short legs and can't jump!
