If you read history, wealth and technology flows steadily Westward throughout time. Soon enough, that wave will hit Asia. As a collective whole, their population size allows for far more technological innovation and possibilities than the US will. They will overtake us within a decade or two, leaving the US to drop to third-world status. The decline of our nation is only being accelerated by the massive debt and brain-drain, as well as increasingly authoritarian measures being instituted by our government. We the People must stand up and fix things quick, before we're left in the dust.

Militarily--none. Financially--where have you been the last couple decades? China could send our economy into turmoil and drop the value of the dollar to the peso overnight if they wanted to.

And don't forget about Japan--they are our largest creditor, about 10 billion dollars more than China.

When's the last time you heard of a proposal to invest in the U.S. with our tax dollars? It all goes to pay off our debts and W's buddies in Defense, Big Oil, and Corporate welfare/no-bid cost plus contracts.
Look for the new congress to put the kabash on Bush's economic insanity.

We are quickly expending our resources, both financial and military, in the Iraqi War. Our nation is divided, and does not trust the American policitians or government. We are being invaded by illegal immigrants, and they are expending our tax dollars and sending billions home to Mexico. It would appear that unless these problems are solved, there is a chance this could happen.
