I'm throwing a party to bring in the New Year. It's coming up soon, and i'm trying to figure out what to wear. We had a party recently where all the girls wore dresses but I think i'm going to keep it pretty casual. I want to wear jeans but still look nice. I'm pretty preppy, so what do you think I could wear and not have to buy anything. I'm open to buying a couple things. Also, if you have any make-up suggestions that would be great!

IF I were you would definitely stick with the jeans. Plus it's really simple to dress it up. Find a top that is really long and flowing. Like a baby doll dress that got cut off just below the hips. to pump up even more volume wear long beads and chandelier earrings. For the hair.If your showing a lot of skin leave your hair down to balance it out. If not then put it up to draw attention to your face.
P.S. never match your eye shadow with your blouse. It's so tacky.

When you are in doubt always rmbr: Jeans with a white top is just as good as the little black dress. It doesn't have to a tshirt. Shop around, you really get stunning white tops!!

Make-up: Rather go for the bare look. Its much more attractive and healthier for your skin. A little foundation, rosy cheeks, light eye shadow and glossy lips.

Oh, and rmbr: When wearing jeans and white top - a pair of blood red stiletto's will break the ice. If you are a bit skeptical of the red shoes, try something else in a bright color.

Enjoy your party

I would go with a jean skirt to about the calf, 4" black pumps and silky stockings with a garterbelt and a nice casual button up blouse.

if you have a festive sweater wear that - put some 'glitter' on your cheeks/eyes to sparkle! lastly get a funky belt or jewelry for accessorizing.. you can find something in your closet I'm sure just accessorize it! that will dress it up w/out being too dressy.
