What a game! OU, down the whole game, scores a late TD on a tipped pass and on their 3rd try (due to penalties) gets the 2-point conversion to tie; then, BSU throws the pick that puts the Sooners up 7 w/ a minute to go; then, BSU scores on a Hook and Lateral on 4th and 18 (that never works!); then, Goliath scores on the 1st play of OT; then, David scores and goes for 2 to win and gets it in with the Statue of Liberty play (also never works!); what a game!

LOL, the only regret I had watching the ending was I knew my dad was sick with a cold and didn;t get to see it. We always cher for the David's :-) The game may or may not have been in one of the all-time greatest categories, but the play calling at the end was definitely the greatest. You described it already, "a hook and laddder" and then the statue of liberty to finish it off. Certainly Cinderella's slipper stayed on and fit perfectly. If I had to vote for a #1 team in the polls, I wouldn;t care who won between FL and OSU, I would vote Boise State if for no toher reason the made the game FUNNNNNN

Best game in at least 20 years. Last game to compare was Nebraska-Miami in the 1984 Orange Bowl, when Tom Osborne could have won his first national championship as a coach with a tie (they didn't play overtime back then), but risked it all by going for 2 and the win. Alas, the try for 2 failed, Miami went from being a small team nobody to national powerhouse, and Osborne had to endure 10 years of grief over never winning the big one before he finally coached the Huskers to a national championship (and then the 'big ones' rolled in like candy as he won 3 championships in 4 years).

By the way, the Hook and Lateral doesn't always 'never work'. It worked in a Miami Dolphins-San Diego Chargers play-off game in one of the greatest NFL games of all times.

Not in my OPINION. The best games for me are the ones that involve the best teams. Also the games that are close for the whole game. Last year had 2 games better. USC-Notre Dame(1vs2 at the time) and again for the championship game (again 1vs2). Both games had the same type of ending but the ND VS USC game and the controversy mixed in with Reggie Bush giving Lienert the extra push from behind to get the touchdown and also had the fans storm the field and have to be pushed in the back of the end zone and watch there team lose from field level!!! Amazing game with soo much heart break for the Irish fans. Great game to be watch no matter who you were cheering for.

Yes! A tremendous game! The best since the 1984 Orange Bowl when the invincible Nebraska Cornhuskers got beat for the National Championship by the upstart Miami Hurricanes.

Great game no doubt about it, I can't really go back into the memory banks of the last ten years, and also being a duck fan my vote will always be for the game with The Pick. As there being "no talent" that's a bunch of crap. There was plenty of talent out there (Adrian Peterson, Chris Latimer, RUUUUUUfus Alexander, Ian Johnson) and even if there wasn't that's not what makes an actual down to the line game a great one.

It was indeed a great game. I love those David vs. Goliath matchups that go down to the wire. I say that was even better than USC vs. Texas. I want Boise State in the championship next year, I think they could win.
