Go to the emergency room. Your GP will probably send you there for X-rays anyway.

Go and get a doctor to check it out - its all very well keep working - but if you do have a broken finger that is starting to heal on its own, then it is likely that the swelling that you have now will stay there forever. My little finger got smashed between the two joints, and I didn't realise it was broken. So it was left for about 2 - 3 weeks before I had it xrayed, and then I had to have it re-broken so that it would go back to a normal shape. Bone has a tendancy to heal itself back into funny shapes if it is not cared for properly

Go to your local walk in centre and they can advise you on the best course of action. As it's over 3 weeks old I don't think they will unless it is severely deformed. But you said only slightly crooked. If it's not bothering you too much I don't think anything would be done. If you have hurt it don't be ashamed to consult your GP as he is there for you busy or not.

sounds as if it is broken, however if you still have full mobility of the finger just take pain killers til the pain goes. the chances are that the hospital will do nothing unless you are someone who models rings in which case they would rebrake it and reset it but this would be very painful if it is not really necessary

mate there is nothing you can do about it, if you went the hospital and it was broke, then they would tell you that after waiting for hours and just strap it up. So just strap it up yourself to the finger next to it and it will feel stronger and you wont bang it as much on things!

just do it yourself bandage your hurt finger to one of your other fingers with a bit of cotton wool between them and if its still sore in a week or two go get an xray

then go to the hospital, surely missing a couple of hours of work in context is ok, if it means that you get your finger looked at and sorted out, explain to your employers, it's your right to get medical treatment if your injury is effecting your everyday life.

strap it together to the next undamaged finger, take painkillers and go to A&E between the hours of 0900am - 0900pm when you will be more likely to get it x/rayed

try going to a local clinic. it might be a hairline fracture. my husband has gotten lots of those from playing basketball. if you can't get to alocal clinic, try to wrap it so you don't use it or move it. it will heal on it's own....also take some tylenol
