thank you for your answers...oh native americans are not Indians.how I know that is this...Christopher Columbus thought he was in india when he found this land we call America .he was an idiot and we celebrate him every year....I also think that a native will never win the presidency because he or she would actually make the u.s.government honor the treaties theys igned so long ago and that would not stand with the people of this country now would it.

I assume from your question you mean Indian Native Americans. In which case yes they can. However they can also run for office in Canada. No Native American is restricted in boarder crossings and they are considered Citizens of North America with no restrictions or political affiliations. .
