well u'll need a memory stick to store it on and u can download videos from the internet, they dont have to be mp4, u can convert em, atleast dats what i do, here this link might help u, it tells u how to convert any video files to psp format:

Movies can be bought on UMDs.
OR
Buy a memory card (2gb is a good start) and rip DVDs. DVD to PSP brings up 101,000,000 results in 0.13 seconds on Google. That's a good place to start.

If you want to load them onto the memory stick your gonna have to convert them. I suggest using that one guys link. But don't worry, you can load them on there, its not like the only way to get them on there is to buy them.
