Gasoline is a mixture of about 150 chemicals refined from crude oil.
Swallowing gasoline burns the linings of the mouth, throat, esophagus (food pipe), stomach, and intestines. The throat can swell making breathing difficult. If gasoline gets into the lungs (aspiration), serious and possibly permanent lung damage can occur. People can experience damaged nervous system, severe abdominal pain, low blood pressure, loss of vision and collapse. Exposure to benzene, a component of gasoline, may increase a person's risk of leukemia.
Since 1979 MTBE has been added to gasoline to help it burn more efficiently and cleanly. Slight exposure to MTBE, results in nausea, dizziness, lightheadedness, headaches, and eye, nose, and throat irritation. Greater exposure has shown kidney damage, birth defects and adverse effects on the nervous system ranging from hyperactivity and incoordination to convulsions and unconsciousness.
The harsh taste of gasoline makes it unlikely that large quantities will be swallowed. However, several cases of poisoning have occurred in persons trying to suck (siphon) gas from an automobile tank using a garden hose or other tube. This practice is extremely dangerous and not advised.
If gasoline is swallowed, immediately give the person water or milk, do not induce vomiting.
Get your friend some help, he's gambling with his life.

By drinking automotive gasoline, your friend can experience stomach irritation [1].

I would suggest you find out why he is doing it. If he is doing anything else destructive that you are not aware of and suggest that he get help.
He doesn't or shouldn't need someone to tell him that will eventually damage organ function. It may not effect him now but when he a little older. How would he like not to hold his bladder or have internal bleeding or stomach cancer due to his stupid thoughts of today. Gas is strong and has many additives that will harm his body. Is that the goal?

Your friend is a moron. Gasoline contains a number of carcinogenic additives (Xylenes and Benzene for instance), not counting the fact that mid-length hydrocarbon chains are a little toxic all on their own accord.

Well, he will eventually die...IS THIS A JOKE??? because no on e in their right mind would drink a teaspon of gasoline every day...unless HE IS SLOWLY TRYING TO COMMIT SUICIDE!!! did you ever think of that??? I DO NOT KNOW HOW YOU COULD GET HIM HELP.....if he doesn't want it...PLUS IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO SAY THE LEAST...FOR THE AVERAGE PERSON.....But maybe you could tell his parents...but tell them to NOT tell that you told them...if he asks "who told you"...have them say.."just a friend that cares"....very best of luck to you..i feel it is a terrible situation to be in...

your friends could turn to turn to mush and if he does not quite death
that is what my uncle in law died from he drank rubbing alcohol and regular alcohol and his insides limed and turned to mush and he got saved and wanted to quite drinking and the doctor told him if he did quite he would die well he quite anyway and now he died so im sure your friend will have the same fate considering gasoline is more toxic then rubbing and regular alcohol
so tell him to stop now.

Do you physically see him do this? If not, my guess he is lying to seek attention.
But let's assume he is. In time, his organs such as lungs, liver, kidneys, etc and his central nervous system will eventually shut down. He will expose himself to over 150 types of chemicals which can lead to cancer, organ malfunction and shut down and damaging his central nervous system.
Basically put, if he has a death wish, he'll meet it very soon.

He will be ok at first but then his liver will begin to fail, the doctors will not give him a transplant due to the stupidity that caused his condition and he will die a painful death.

well 1 or 2 things could happen to him. he could die or you could take him to the doctor and tell them what he is doing so he can get treatment so he can stop and live a long life
