sorry, for clarification,I need to utilise an Athlon 3500 processor (optimised for bi-processor enabled computers) to run a specific piece of software, to do so I have to upgrade the motherboard from my existing SiS735. Can anyone suggest a compatable motherboard?

Well, considering you didn't actually say what model your processor is (Like Athlon XP, Toledo, etc), I can't say what motherboard would fit with your processor. In my sources there's a link to a very good brand of motherboards.

there's no such thing as a "3500 processor".

You really need to be more specific than that. what socket/slot is it?

Bottom line is, I can think of no processor that's either 3500mhz, or a pr3500-style unit.
