I remember when I couldn't: when I had a PC & IE... I get like one pop up ad a month on my Mac & Safari. They are still annoying when they make up 90% of a website though and I want to find the actual content.

Don't feel too bad, Bill Gates gets 4 million spam e-mails a year. Spam has been around since 1904 in telegraphs, and since 1978 on computer networks.

but I don't get bombarded with ads now. so you must be doing something wrong. visiting the wrong sites/ using your real email address when siging up for stuff / not using adblocker software.
