I've only done it once (so far!) but I have watched all 3 EXTENDED (!) dvd editions back-to-back. It took over 11 hours, many snacks, and a sore bum! Really enjoyed it though.

Unfortunately i didn't see the three chapters back to back.
I did a similar thing many years ago when I watched the Genesys by John Houston and then as a sequel "The ten commendments" by Cecile De mille.
Not so easy to enjoy but I was younger (11!) and strong.
Now I wouldn't do it again unless , it is an emotional adventure like "Back to the future" or "Indiana Jones 1 -2 -3".
Bye!

I pulled out all the stops. I watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the entire Star Wars series, all 10 Star Trek movies, seasons 1-9 of Stargate SG-1, and all four movies in the Aliens series. I was so jittery on caffiene, sugar, and nicotine that I couldn't even sleep after that. It took me almost all three Matrix movies to fall asleep. I slept for twenty three hours straight.

Oh, the joys of being a college student on Christmas vacation. That's how I unwind after a long series of midterms and finals.

Yes I have done this, I was wondering if anyone else had. And to tell you the truth it isn't as bad a you might think, providing that you have your snacks and a friend beside you. It just seems as if you've just watch one film. It doesn't feel as if you have watched three films, I will do it again soon, because I really enjoyed it.

Also want to do the same for all the Matrix films and the Star wars ones as well

Been there done that lots of fun. The best week I had was Lord of the Rings back to back followed by Die Hard trilogy back to back followed by Star Wars trilogy. Was a hard week of watching and I'm sure I ruined my eyes and my diet but after 25 packets of crisps and 8 big bottles of Sprite I can tell you it was one of the best ideas I had for a week of work. Love dvd boxsets!

Yes, that's how I spent my New Years Weekend. It was the first time I had ever seen the movies. I hated all the Frodo parts...I just liked the castle wars! The last DVD was far too long.

Wow. My wife and I watched all 3 Rings in a row just a couple of weeks ago. The next day we watched all the Harry Potters. I'm a little tired of popcorn now.

Yeah, when I had my knee op and was in a splint.
I cried because I have been to many of the places in NZ where the movie was filmed, and cannot wait to go back.

I also watched all the extra bits as well..

Tried it once when I had a case of the flu, but could only get through the first two. Maybe I'll try it again with some friends in the new year...but without the flu, of course!

No, but that sounds oddly quite cool. I should start watching Lord of the Rings fully, lol
