Most commonly know crocodilian species
24 different crocodilian species total

American Alligator (Alligator mississippiensis)
Juveniles will eat a variety of small invertebrates, insects, and small fish and frogs. As they grow larger, they start eating large prey. Large adults can take nearly all land and water prey that comes within range this includes fish, turtles, mammals, birds and reptiles including small alligators. They may also expand their choice of prey to include small dogs and other pets.

American Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus)
Juveniles will eat small fish and inverterbrates. Adults will eat, usually aquatic prey like turtles and crabs. Also birds are also a prey item.

Saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus)
Juveniles eat items such as insects, amphibians, crustaceans, small reptiles and fish. Even as the crocodile becomes an adult small prey will take up most of its diet. These include crustaceans and vertebrates like turtles, lizards, snakes, shore and wading birds. Large adults will occasionally take much larger prey like buffalo, domestic livestock, and wild boars.

Nile Crocodile (crocodylus niloticus)
Juveniles, again, eat small aquatic invertebrates and insects Adults can take a variety of large vertebrates, including antelope, buffalo, young hippos, and large cats. Fish and smaller vertebrates often form the greatest part of their diet, however with a sideways snatch of the jaws. Social behaviour in Nile crocodiles is often underestimated, although there are many aspects still poorly understood.

Common Caiman (Caiman crocodilus)
Juveniles take aquatic invertebrates such as insects, crustaceans, molluscs. As they grow, various vertebrates take up a greater percentage of the diet. This includes fish, amphibians, reptiles and water birds. Older animals are capable of taking larger prey like wild pigs. Cannibalism, during drier times, has been seen.

Australian Freshwater Crocodile (Crocodylus johnstoni)
The shape of the snout suggests a fish-based diet. A variety of other prey items are often taken including invertebrates and small vertebrates, especially when younger. Large adults sometimes even take land animals. It rarely feeds during dry season because of lack of prey, low temperatures at night and the drying of pools and rivers.

Crocodiles (which are different from alligators) mostly eat fish and, occasionally, birds but they will take pretty much anything that comes within snapping range. They will even take on zebra, antelope and similar sized prey that come drinking at their river bank or water hole. Humans are also considered fair game by crocs.

Crocodiles are ambush predators and will eat pretty much any meat they can get their jaws around. Nile crocodiles eat fish mostly, but will also snag land animals (including humans) if they get the chance. Likewise, Australian saltwater crocodiles will eat fish, pigs, goats horses, cows, snakes, rats, people, etc.

"The American Crocodile eats fish, turtles, snakes, birds and crabs. They are carnivores."

"An adult alligator’s diet typically includes frogs, birds, turtles,
snakes, fish and the occasional smaller gator that gets too
close. The alligators of Arkansas Post are large enough that
they will eat raccoons, nutria, muskrat, and even a deer.
Better keep that dog on a leash!"

They eat people who go ask them what they eat. Just kidding! They eat other animals. I think they mostly eat fish and small mammals that live on river banks. Oh, and I think they also practice cannibalism. Happy New Year!
