i think my house is haunted and i need a WEBSITE that can tell me if it is or its not, my electronics go awire when the batteries are taken out. WEBSITE ONLY PLEASE!!!

Well, start with your local city all folks and find out if there are any records concerning the building records. Many cities now have this information on record but since you didn't include that in your question you will have to find out on your own.
After that you are pretty much limited since you do not want to leave your house. (must be the ghosts barring the door eh?
Tax records are the next step. From the date it was built you need to find out who owned it.
Then Utility bills or other issues so you can see who Lived there (in case it was rented).
Police / fire reports might be handy too in order to determine if there was any action onsite that required public services.
not a whole lot will get done tho from online since few places have that information available.

abstract of title will tell you the history of the area from the time of development to the present time. other than this local newspaper, court house records, older people in the area, libraries, museums can all be helpful.
