verry good pay but is miserable

Consider him/her a challenge and develop a thick skin. I always considered the office ***** or bastard a challenge and tried to find the key to having a "workable" relationship with them.

Depends on you I guess. How much do you really need those extra $$, if your willing to work with someone like that. Maybe this person is perceived by others as being miserable, but you never know, you might like this person once you've worked together for some time.

Yes. Don't let someone allow you to think about not getting your pay check. If you don't work, can you ask this miserable soul to give you give five bucks from their paycheck? I doubt it. Go to work and unless it's absolutely unbearable and causing you to perform poorly at work, there is no reason not to go!
