Crisco would be to grease her up to get her into the dress, the fishing line to constrict it into shape and make her look more shapely (like a corset). In other words, he was calling her fat.

i think its because she is considered fat in that industry.
so the fishing line and crisco were to help keep the dress on her i think.

she is a larger size than the dress is meant for and Crisco (slippery baking ingredient) will make her slippery so she can slide on the dress. i am not sure about the fishing line.

the dress was a lil to small ( and he could see that ) and he was going to get andy into it. u probably know wat fishing line is and crisco is a fat u cook with.
