I used to eat there all the time. I loved the "cinnamon crisps". I don't like the cinnamon twists as much, they're too hard to eat. I never got food poisoning from there in the 80s.
I don't go anymore I know too many people that have gotten violently sick after eating there, including myself. I don't know if the food is prepared differently or what but I'm afraid to eat their food .

The chillie cheese burrito wasn't a big seller, so they canned it. Although I miss the days of the 59 -99 cent menus, some of the items such as the double decker taco, gordita and chalupas as well as the 7 layer are an improvement.

Of course I rarely eat there now, after I looked up their nutritional info on their website.

I was too young to remember taco bell in the 80's but in the nineties they made better taco varieties. For example they use to make something called a chilly cheese burrito and now they don't make it anymore.

OMG, that's weird,...I was just thinking earlier today how good this one burrito or wrap Taco Bell made in the 80's and how delicious it was...remember that one made w/cheese, onion and beef? I think it was better. and the beef in the taco's tasted better as well....different spices as well as all beef.

Everything was better, and even better than that in the 70's. I cant believe how the quality of things has gotten so bad.
